You simply create one contact set for people to invite to your events and leave everyone else alone. If you are one of those "inviters" you need to seriously think about using Firestorm and the Firestorm Contact Sets. I will not get into the details here on how to use contact sets because the Firestorm Wiki (and your own experimentation) is enough to get the drill down. Most do not understand that a lot of the time their "friends" are doing their own thing and are not really interested in coming to a club. But that person probably doesn't know or understand about Contact Sets. This indeed happens to us all! The most common response is to unfriend that person. How often has this happened to you? You befriend someone, either a new friend or customer or similar, and then all of the sudden you begin to get invites and teleport offers to some club, venue, store sale, or something similar. Read more about it on the following link. You can even keep and organize non-friends details. " Contact Sets allow you to sort, list, categorize, organize and colorize your friend list" - as stated in the Firestorm blog and wiki. One of most needful features is the Contact Sets. It has many functions and features that are sadly lacking in the standard SL Viewer. Hope this helps! Thanks to everyone who helped out.I am an advocate of the Firestorm Viewer for Second Life®. Don't update it again until NIVIDIA or Firestorm has updated the issue and let ya'll know it's fixed. That'll fix the weird graphics & shadows issue. You need to rollback your NIVIDIA graphics card back to the previous update before the recent one and keep it that way until NIVIDA fixes the issue. Thankfully, Firestorm & NVIDIA are both aware of this issue and thanks to comments on this post there's a fix for now. It's literally just second life having issues for me it seems.Įdit 2, HOW TO FIX: Hey there, there is a fix for this issue. □□Įdit Other games seem to be working fine. Could that be what's messed it up or caused an issue?Īny help would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I have done recently was update to the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver. ![]() I have a NIVIDIA graphics card and usually everything runs fine and smooth. I have not changed any settings on my viewer at all, so I'm not sure what could be causing this all of a sudden. Two small lines that are persistent on my firestorm viewer. I turned Ambient Occulsion off and this seemed to get rid of the lines, but then ultimately gave me some smaller line issues which you can see in the image below. The harsh shadow lines appear on the ground and on avatars when you zoom in close to them, giving a very weird effect. However, the harsh shadow lines go away after turning off Ambient Occulsion. It's incredibly annoying and also a little harsh on the eyes after a while. I logged onto Second Life today and my viewer has a bunch of harsh lines across the screen and things that're trying to render in the background are glitching out and flickering.
